How much does Depop take? Every price point

One page per price band, and every number on it is calculated at build time from Depop Help Centre's published rates — not copied from another calculator. Across these 22 price points the same US fee structure takes between 12.4% and 3.3% of the sale price, an average of 4.7%. Pick the price you are asking and see the exact fee, payout and effective rate.

Depop fees by sale price (US, 2026)

US sellers pay no Depop selling fee — only payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45. The table assumes the buyer is charged $0 shipping, the listing is not boosted, you use a Depop Shipping label and the item cost you nothing, so the payout column is the money that lands from the sale before your own costs.

How the same fee behaves across 4 price bands

There are only two parts to a US Depop fee: 3.3% that scales with the sale and $0.45 that does not. Everything below follows from that split — as the sale price rises, the flat part is spread over more money and the effective rate falls towards the percentage.

Entry level ($5 – $15)
The 45¢ flat processing charge is a big share of the fee, so the effective rate is at its highest. These are the price points where a bundle or a small price rise changes the maths the most.
Effective rate runs from 6.3% to 12.4%. The thinnest payout in this band is $5, where you keep $4.38; the best is $15, where you keep $14.05.
Everyday listings ($20 – $75)
Most second-hand sales sit here. The flat charge is still visible in the effective rate, but the 3.3% component has become the larger half of the fee.
Effective rate runs from 3.9% to 5.6%. The thinnest payout in this band is $20, where you keep $18.89; the best is $75, where you keep $72.07.
Higher-value pieces ($100 – $300)
The flat charge is now a minor line, and the effective rate is closing in on the headline 3.3%.
Effective rate runs from 3.4% to 3.8%. The thinnest payout in this band is $100, where you keep $96.25; the best is $300, where you keep $289.65.
Premium sales ($400 – $1,000)
Fixed costs are almost fully diluted: at these prices your fee is close to a pure percentage of the sale.
Effective rate runs from 3.3% to 3.4%. The thinnest payout in this band is $400, where you keep $386.35; the best is $1,000, where you keep $966.55.

What the spread tells you

The gap between the cheapest and the most expensive effective rate in this cluster is -9.1% — 12.4% on $5 against 3.3% on $1,000. That gap is not a fee change and not a promotion: it is the flat $0.45 charge being spread across a smaller or larger sale. Two consequences worth acting on:

None of that changes what Depop charges — it changes what you keep. Use the main fee calculator to add your own shipping, item cost and boost, or read the full 2026 fee breakdown for the rules behind each charge.

How much Depop takes — questions

How much does Depop take from a sale?
For a US seller, payment processing is the only Depop fee: 3.3% of the order plus $0.45 per transaction, and there is no Depop selling fee. The percentage explains why the same fee structure costs a different share of a $10 sale than a $500 sale.
Why does the fee take a bigger percentage of a cheap item?
Because part of the fee is flat. The $0.45 processing charge is the same whatever you sell, so it is 9.0% of a $5 sale and only 0.0% of a $1,000 sale. The percentage component never changes.
Does Depop charge a selling fee as well?
US, UK and Australian sellers are not charged a Depop selling fee. Sellers based elsewhere pay 10% on the item sale price excluding taxes, plus PayPal processing at a rate that varies by country and account.
Are the numbers on these pages estimates?
They are calculated, not estimated: each price page renders the same arithmetic the calculator uses, with a $0 shipping charge, no boosted listing, a Depop Shipping label and no item cost. Change any of those inputs in the main calculator and the result moves.
Why only 22 prices instead of every number?
Each price page carries price-specific commentary, a comparison against its neighbours and its own UK figures. Publishing thousands of near-duplicate pages for every dollar would be thin content, so the list is limited to bands with real search demand and is expanded only when a band has something genuinely different to say.
